Is a food supplement source of melatonin. Melatonin (N-acetyl-5-methoxytryptamine) is a neurohormone produced by the pineal gland of mammals and other organs. *Melatonin contributes to the reduction of time taken to fall asleep. The beneficial effect is obtained by consuming 1 mg of melatonin close to bedtime. *Melatonin contributes to the alleviation of subjective feelings of jet lag . The beneficial effect is obtained with a minimum intake of 0,5 mg to be taken close to bedtime on the first day of travel and on the following few days after arrival at the destination. 

In man there is evidence that melatonin levels decrease with increasing age. At 40-50 years, a decrease in melatonin synthesis is observed and after 70 years of age, the circadian rhythm in melatonin secretion practically disappears in most individuals.

Maltodextrin, capsule [glazing agent (hydroxypropyl-methyl-cellulose), anti-caking agent (magnesium salts of fatty acids), melatonin. WARNINGS: Store in a cool, dry place. Heat and sunlight may damage the bottle. Keep out of the reach of children. Use this product in conjunction with food as part of a healthy, balanced diet, not as a substitute for such. Don’t exceed the recommended daily dosage. May contain traces of gluten, milk, egg, soy, celery, sulphur dioxide, sulphites, fish, molluscs and crustaceans.
